Palletized Shipping
Shipping is an important
consideration and the fact that we ship on a
pallet gives our national distributor group an
important cost advantage. We ship on a
standard 48 inch x 40 inch pallet, a typical
starter pallet is 7 feet tall and weighs
approximately 1900 lbs. All of the
furniture components are bundled in packages
that weigh 40 lbs or less which are stacked
on the pallet. We shrink wrap the pallet
and cover it with a 6 mm plastic pallet bag for
protection. Straps are
placed around the pallet for final security.
When you receive the components can be stored on
the pallet or on shelving, it takes less
then an hour to un-stack the 40 lb packages onto
a shelves.

We ship
LTL freight and
have negotiated the lowest freight class that is
available in the industry. There are more
then 50 freight classes which freight companies
use to set rates for handling different types of
items. For example perishables or items
that do not have a lot of bulk, or delicate
products have a very high freight class and are
more expensive to ship in comparison to
our class which is the lowest in the industry.
Our method of packaging has helped us achieve
this class and coupled with our volume discount
we can all enjoy an important cost advantage in
comparison to other methods of shipping.
The pallet is delivered
directly to your shop or garage. If you do
not have a forklift or loading dock we will
order a tailgate lift at the time of shipment
and the pallet will be lowered to the ground
hydraulically. Residential and tailgate
delivery is an extra charge from the freight
company. Shipping takes 5 to 7 business
days.
Typical Freight Costs
We will quote you a
freight cost with options at the time of your
order. We have listed the following LTL
freight costs for a 1900 lb pallet with 90 plus
complete items aboard. These are typical,
and can be used for planning purposes, we will
give you an exact quote at the time of order.
if you are in a remote area where transfers need
to take place with other carriers then freight
will be higher.
